Supports: Those Who Dream and Belle Haven

Forever Ends Here are BACK and they’re better than ever! Bringing with them a stellar alt-pop lineup to Oxford Art Factory, we couldn’t possibly stay away.

Opening the night we had emo legends Belle Haven, who brought they’re absolute A game. The set meshed their old and new sound seamlessly and frontman David De La Hoz had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand from song one. There was a particularly lively response for their new single ‘Hard Stare, Soft Touch’ and fan favourite ‘Forget Me’. The band swimming in talent aside, my personal highlight was guitarist Daniel Marinakis’ fan which made every hair flip look like the after shot in a Pantene commercial.

Next up to bat we were treated with Western Australia’s own Those Who Dream. Two band members somehow manage to have the stage presence and energy of a seven-piece band; Everyone’s running around, switching instruments and somehow not missing a beat. The audience seemed in awe for a decent portion of the set but it didn’t stop anyone from having a bit of a dance. My personal highlight this time is ‘True Sight’, such an earworm and they really do it justice live.

Last but certainly not least, the main attraction Forever Ends Here! These guys came out swinging for the hometown show with an insanely tight set. Playing a bunch of fan favourites from the back catalogue including the throwback cover of ‘Starships’ and their brand new single ‘Cherry Chapstick’. New and old fans alike sang along with fervour. Highlight was by far ‘Search The Night’; dramatically singing that one back really satiated my inner 16-year-old.
