Pierce The Veil Release Studio Version of Radiohead ‘Karma Police’ Cover

After initially doing the cover for Triple J’s Live A Version back during their co-headline tour with Beartooth, post-hardcore icons Pierce The Veil have surprised fans with a studio release of their smash hit Radiohead cover for ‘Karma Police‘.

Frontman Vic Fuentes oozes charisma as he hones in on his signature twang while tipping the hat to Thom Yorke‘s OG performance of the OK Computer track. The band erupt towards the climax as guitarist Tony Perry shreds like no tomorrow, leading us to a drawn out, static crescendo. The post-grunge influence of Pierce The Veil‘s last album The Jaws Of Life can be heard throughout the offering and if you haven’t spun that record yet, I’d highly recommend transitioning from the cover to the album in one rotation.

On the release, the band shares:

“We are products of the 80s and 90s MTV era, so songs like ‘Karma Police’ live deep within our childhood minds. We dug this one up as an opportunity to indulge in something comforting and familiar. Taking inspiration from the memories and emotions the song evokes in us, we created a version that reflects where we come from as a band. We were happy to discover that the song remained haunting and beautiful even when fed through distortion pedals and loud guitars.”
