Shadow of Intent Release Belter ‘Of Fury’ Ahead of January LP

Shadow of Intent Of Fury Review

Blackened deathcore outfit Shadow of Intent are certainly keeping the teasing at an all time high in preparation for their upcoming record Elegy, coming out on January 14th independently; the same release date as Fit For An AutopsyEnterprise Earth and Underoath (just to name a few).

So far the heavy Connecticut musicians have unveiled singles like ‘From Ruin… We Rise‘ which blew us away, and then shortly after we heard ‘Where Millions Have Come to Die‘ featuring Whitechapel‘s Phil Bozeman. Well, it ain’t over yet mates; Shadow of Intent have just released another single titled ‘Of Fury’ just days from the Christmas break, and just weeks before their album release.

‘Of Fury’ is pretty groovy… from a blackened deathcore perspective anyway. The single kind of encapsulates what pumping the brakes might look like for the demons. Don’t misinterpret though, the song is absolutely brutal, it just takes on a bit more of a rhythmic and balanced direction, and will probably be a suitable intersection as track four on the record before some of the already-heard tracks. Look out for a tasty instrumental towards the end – not quite a breakdown, but an enjoyable slice of blackened heaven hell.

Enjoy ‘Of Fury‘ at midnight local time. Oh and if you’re dying for the release of Elegy, Shadow of Intent just shared with fans The Making of Elegy Episode II on YouTube now, where drummer Bryce Butler shares his experiences on this album.
