Fit For An Autopsy Announce New Record + Virtuosic Song ‘Far From Heaven’

Fit For An Autopsy - Will Putney Interview

Post-deathcore band Fit For An Autopsy have been quiet for a little while now, and besides their saviour single ‘Fear Tomorrow’ in 2020, we’ve waited long enough for new music. Along with guitarist and iconic producer Will Putney, the band have just announced their follow-up record to their absolutely insane record The Sea Of Tragic Beasts which blew the heavy music world away.

Oh What The Future Holds has been revealed as Fit For An Autopsy‘s fifth LP through Nuclear Blast Worldwide and Human Warfare, and will likely be the first major heavy record unleashed unto the world in 2022 with a release date of January 14th; AOTY can’t be released in the first two weeks of the year, right? Right?!

Along with the album announcement, the band have released a brand new song/video ‘Far From Heaven’. Sitting just under five-minutes, the track is simply glorious, and follows on from where Fit For An Autopsy left off in 2019. Starting off like a freakin’ Mastodon song (seriously), ‘Far From Heaven’ carries out virtuosic metal elements that many may not have expected from this band (albeit, worthy if you’ve heard their last two albums or so). Vocalist Joe Badolato spits deep carnage as producer/composer Putney and the band groove with rhythmic chaos. With a ‘Your Pain is Mine’ type chorus, the band link their different eras, but make it clear that the next chapter of the band is getting even more serious. The final breakdown will spin you into deathly chaos, enjoy head-bangers.
