UPDATE: It's out now!!!

So far Ice Nine Kills have officially revealed two horror movies that two of their new songs from forthcoming album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood are based upon (American Psycho and Child's Play) and over the weekend the boys let slip a HUGE clue about their next single and it's looking likely to be inspired by the Resident Evil franchise!

The band's socials posted the above umbrella - sharing the same logo as the iconic game/movie series - which belongs to the Umbrella Corporation, the secret organisation responsible for creating the T-Virus, a viral weapon engineered with the potential to be a military weapon in the franchise's universe. The virus revived dead cells and, as we all know, reanimated the dead, thus creating the zomie filled landscape of Racoon City and beyond.

It's unsure which movie in the franchise will score the honour of the song being based upon (there were six in total with a reboot on the way) but in the original, released wayyyy back in 2002, Michelle Rodriguez plays the character Rain who is a total badass and steals every scene she's in. Her special ops team, alongside protagonist Alice (Milla Jovovich) infiltrate an underground base known as The Hive, investigating an accident which - dun dun dunnn - killed all of their employees and turned them into reanimated, flesh-devouring zombies, deadly dogs and fuck-ugly creatures.

It was arguably one of the BEST game-turned-movies in the 2000s and was a cult hit for fans and gamers alike. So with Ice Nine Kills tackling this subject matter it's only going to be a matter of time before bring the gaming community into their ever-growing legion of fans spread across horror movies, literature and the metalcore community. If the boys sample that creepy intro music from the above featurette, it'll make for a great breakdown, similar to how they used a re-worked version of the theme song from Saw for the breakdown in 'The Jig Is Up'
