SKYWAY Unveil New Song/Video For 'Heart Anchor

One of the redeeming factors from this year was the triumphant return of Gold Coast pop punk heroes Skyway who have their new EP Hope Floats, Love Sinks coming out on November 20th which they told us all about when we premiered their comeback single 'Cut The Ties' last month (revisit that here).

Fast forward a few weeks and the boys are back with their next single from it titled 'Heart Anchor' which, you guessed it, is a song about moving on after a breakup. Been there, suffered that... and a lot of us may need this more than we know!

On the new single/video, drummer Ben Hallet says:

"Very excited for this next track from the EP to be released. This has more of a "pop"ier vibe than the rest of EP but is still darker than your typical Skyway song. Personally, I love the contrasting textures we created throughout the track but its consistent driving feel. We had a last-minute, late-night decision in the studio to play sidestick snare in the verses, which for me was a fun throwback to my childhood learning to play drums in the church band. When it came to the visuals Dan had a director, @_donniirawan, in mind who he thought could really capture the lyrical story and backbone emotions of the track. We all thought he nailed it."
