Diesect Unload Menacing Thumper 'A Different Kind Of Alone'

The Gold Coast's newest heavy/core act Diesect are THE SHIT.

Since we first uncovered them with their breakthrough singles 'Bury You' & 'Bury Me' last year, they have been snapping necks and scoring well-deserved praise from both the local and international core community, landing supporting slots on tours with everyone from ATLVS, Diamond Construct, Fit For A King, ERRA, Frontierer and Silent Planet/Currents, on top of their own curated headline shows in support of their latest releases 'Loose Ends' and 'Snake Eater'. Now they wrap up the year with one more head-turner and it's well worth the wait.

Today the band are back with 'A Different Kind of Alone' which finds the GC lads focusing their attention on their axe-men Gary Handelaar and Jacob Rentoule who produce menacing machine gun-styled riffage, accompanying blast beats and brutal takedowns that'll have even the shyest mosh-goer ready to throw fists in the pit at their upcoming final show for 2022 on November 19th.

Vocalist Damien Bigara shines as he tears himself apart telling the gripping story of someone struggling through a mental episode. His gut-wrenching delivery pierces your ears as you read along to the turmoil he screams about with this number.

There's a reason Diesect were listed as my fav local discovery in my 2021 Year in Review... I cannot wait to see this band explode next year after what can only be described as their most productive and energetic year as a band to date.
