All Hail The Gloom In The Corner - New Label, Single, Record (Features Central)

Today is a big, big day for Melburnian metalcore outfit The Gloom In The Corner. They've officially been signed to SharpTone Records and will release their new album Trinity on 28 October. After just winding up their Australian tour with Fit For An Autopsy, Gloom have been teasing new single Ronin' feat. Crystal Lake's Ryo Kinoshita and it's finally available for streaming.

But that's not all. On their recent tour we had a chat with Fit For An Autopsy's Joe Bad (check it out here) and he let it slip that he's recently featured on one of their tracks. Turns out it's the Trinity album-closer and it's titled 'Hail To The King' - bring on October. BUT, it's not just features from Ryo and Joe on this new record - there is an enormous breadth of features, and some of these names will simply blow your mind.

How's this for size: internationally, Trinity features the likes of Taylor Barber of Left To Suffer, Lauren Babic of Red Handed Denial and Ryan Kirby of Fit For A King (plus more); and locally Monique Pym of Reliqa and Monica Strut of The Last Martyr (also plus more). Pulse racing yet?

We couldn't be prouder of the boys and have been officially following them since their stellar performances (and hilarious interview) at Big Sound 2019, we've loved their progression as a band and humans. Wall of Sound couldn't help but reach out to congratulate them on the signing, to which they said:

"We're extremely excited to be working with the SharpTone team. They're incredibly accepting of our bizarre musical/cinematic universe and are excited we're bringing it to life with them."

Regarding the universe mentioned by The Gloom In The Corner, you'll probably know by now that there are a series of chronicles to follow in their music, but spend some time catching up if you need on tracks like 'Violence' and 'Warfare' - amongst a packed back catalogue.

On 'Ronin' vocalist Mikey Arthur comments:

“‘Ronin’, from a lore perspective, re-introduces ‘Homecoming’ protagonist Ethan Hardy after his
death at the end of that EP. Upon donning a new suit of armor known as the ‘Black Cloud’, he pushes his emotions deep inside, channeling them into a display of violence. Hardy wreaks havoc across Hell under no command but his own, earning the name of ‘The Ronin’. The redux of both the ‘Witch Hunt’ and ‘Rodent’ breakdown not only serves as an Easter egg for old fans, but continues the story begun in 'Homecoming' with more brutality and gore.”

“As always, the track serves as an analogy, albeit a tragic one,” the singer continues. “Despite
how much you may ask for help, or that people can see that you’re in pain, you’re on your own
and the only one who can fix you is you. 'Ronin' is an angry, relentless tirade that, in short says; ‘I
came to you when I needed help after you said that you would, and you sat back and did nothing.
Go f*ck yourself.’”

'Ronin' immediately showcases stepped up production as Gloom continue the eerie and spine-tingling narrative style to their music - of course alongside a very carefully considered music video creation. The track leads up to a battle between the antagonist and protagonist led by perpetuating breakdowns and Crystal Lake's Ryo bringing down the house alongside Arthur.
