A Swift Farewell Link Up with Clay J Gladstone for 'Stressed Out'

Sydney pop punk outfit A Swift Farewell have kicked off their year in fine form with the earnest new single 'Stressed Out'. The song also marks the band's first ever collaboration, who have grabbed fellow Sydneysiders Clay J Gladstone on the mic.
'Stressed Out' sees these young hopefuls channel their darker emo pop edge, which we first lapped up on 2020's release 'Save Yourself'. Honestly, this new release sounds like the Swift Farewell we fell in love with and ties in with the infectious emo pop sounds of 2022. The band revealed how they essentially created their own version of an Avril Lavigne classic:
“The song is about not expressing emotions and often hiding and burying feelings until it gets too much. We wanted to show our darker side with this track, as we felt our two previous singles were a fair bit more pop-influenced and mid-tempo. Funnily enough, its working title was actually ‘angry boi’.”
Having recently appeared as one of our top 20 pop punk acts to watch this year, 'Stressed Out' emphasises the band's underrated talent and we most definitely anticipate what other bangers they have on the cards from here.
A Swift Farewell are also set to play support to Heroes For Hire in Sydney later this month, which will only further their steady rise in the scene.
