CVLTFEST
Eatons Hill Hotel, Bris QLD
February 24, 2024
Lineup: Alpha Wolf, Crossfaith, Emmure, Ocean Grove, Paledusk, ten56, Diamond Construct, Crave Death and Vilify

Alpha Wolf‘s curated music festival experience made it’s triumphant debut in Brisbane for a hot and sweaty day of indoor moshing, markets and mayhem. On top of spending time chatting with the likes of Alpha Wolf, ten56., Vilify and Diamond Construct for our CVLTFEST ’24 Podcast, we also threw down to stacks of our favs bands as highlighted by the WoS on-ground crew of the day.

Adam’s Day

After having enjoyed the first edition of CVLTFEST, it was an exhilarating pleasure to be able to travel to Australia’s sunshine state to witness the magic unfold once more. This incredibly smooth-running event brought top-tier acts from the worldwide metalcore community, such as Crossfaith, Emmure and Paledusk to one location for the jostling Brisbane crowd to enjoy while also displaying the world-class homegrown talent we have to offer, such as Diamond Construct, Vilify and Ocean Grove. As we eagerly await the announcement of CVLTFEST vol.3, festival organisers from around the globe should take note of how Alpha Wolf do things down under.

Ricky’s Day

CVLTFEST was the ultimate combo of heavy and elite. The sophomore festival saw an increase in international and high-calibre acts like Emmure and ten56. which dazzled the massive crowd who packed into the venue to watch every second. With the perfect balance of intimate and epic, with a limited number of food trucks accompanied by reasonable queues, Alpha Wolf set the standard for how festivals should run in Australia.

Browny’s Day

Brisbane’s heavy music community came out in droves to support the first-ever CVLTFEST in our fine city and boy did they turn out. From the venue filling up quick for openers Vilify and Crave Death, through to the demonic growls of Aaron Matts of ten56. and Frankie Palmeri from Emmure, we were treated to high-quality heaviness all day long. It was exceptionally pleasing to see so many punters rush in for Paledusk, who continue to exceed expectations with every trip to Australia and Alpha Wolf proved they are more than ready to take new age headliner sets to the next level. Congrats to all involved, it was such a great day!
