Heard Termina before? They're a prog-metalcore wet dream and they feature some people you probably know pretty well. The duo compromises of YouTuber Mr. Nik Nocturnal AKA NIK NXC when he's releasing industrial nu-deathcore, as well as Andy Cizek of Monuments and Makari. The band have put out a debut record titled Dysphoria as well as a bunch of sick singles.
Today, Termina leap into 2023 with a very strong start. Nocturnal and Cizek have released new single 'Parasocial' featuring Whitechapel's Phil Bozeman and Joshua Travis (ex-Emmure, Glass Cloud, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, The Goddamn Rodeo, Monuments and When Knives Go Skyward). We're super excited about this track for a few reasons: 1) Travis actually included Cizek on his 2022 EP NO REST so it's cool to see returning of the favour, and 2) we're still high off Whitechapel fumes from Thy Art Is Murder's Australian Decade of Hate tour.
The three-minute track sees Cizek windmill straight into uncleans with Bozeman joining him early on and Nocturnal webbing across the guitar with Travis. The song is packed with shrieks, prog-perfection and all the signature pieces from each of these modern music afficionados.
