So you've heard Lorna Shore's deathcore ballad ‘Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames’, but have you heard Pain Remains II: After All I’ve Done, I’ll Disappear‘? Today's the day. We're also only weeks away until we'll all get to hear 'Pain Remains III: In A Sea of Fire' to finish the triple-threat. Rising to deathcore fame with their 2021 …And I Return To Nothingness EP, the U.S. outfit are on the cusp of releasing their upcoming record Pain Remains, out 14 October via Century Media Records, their first full-length with vocalist Will Ramos.

It's definitely worth catching up on their prior 2022 singles too - ‘Sun//Eater‘, ‘Into The Earth‘ and ‘Cursed To Die‘; it's been a massive campaign for the five-piece. With these three tracks following a similar song structure and approach, many fans were definitely surprised by 'Pain Remains I'. It showed a very different side to the band and now you can see how the saga continues with their latest single 'Pain Remains II'.

The second episode of this album closer also extends beyond five-minutes and cuts in just where the first suddenly ended. Transitioning into a tech-death masterpiece, Part II retains the symphonic melodies but certainly steps up the ferocity. The deathcore components seep in at bridges where breakdowns become a footprint for the band, however like Part I, ‘After All I’ve Done, I’ll Disappear‘ goes places the preceding EP and singles haven't, particularly in the corner of guitars. Between Adam De Micco and Andrew O’Connor, they're showcasing some next-level riffs, conveying an exploratory side to this band's ever-growing desire to be different; bring on Part III.

"'The Pain Trilogy' is a three-part tale focusing on the stages of grief and vulnerability and exemplifying it through a love story. The first song, 'Pain Remains I: Dancing like Flames' begins with the main character becoming enamored by the person within his dreams. He decides to turn to this reality as a sense of purpose despite knowing that the closer he gets to his goal, the further it seems to drift away. This leads to the second song, 'Pain Remains II: After All I've Done, I'll Disappear'. This is the part where the person vanishes and the main character struggles to accept the pain. He as well wishes to disappear and seeks to throw it all away."

Listen to the new single at midnight local time.
