Melbourne: Get Ready for Halloween with CVLTFEST

Off the back of their monstrous Metalcore Snitches tour with Fit For A King, Paledusk and Great American Ghost, Alpha Wolf are top of the pops so-to-speak and they’re ready to give their hometown a nod for coming to the party. Overnight, they announced their not so quiet place to mosh with their inaugural CVLTFEST on Halloween Eve in Melbourne.

Alpha Wolf‘s headliner festival with Destroy All Lines boasts a stupidly wonderful lineup including international acts Silent Planet and for the very first time in Australia – Currents. The former band will be returning after their trip downunder a few years ago with Make Them Suffer (gig review here). With a bunch of new tracks to play like new track ‘Signal:‘ and hits off Iridescent, Melbourne will be more than ready for Silent Planet‘s return. Currents barely need an introduction, and Victorian punters will be undoubtedly gob smacked when they hear metalcore anthems from their 2020 record The Way It Ends amongst their gorgeous back catalogue.

Yes, we’re still excited about the return of international touring, but there are some wild locals joining this CVLTFEST too. Joining Alpha Wolf are also Deez Nuts, The Beautiful Monument, To The Grave, Bloom, Vengeance and Future Static. If you know us, you’ll know that we’re in love with all of these acts – bring on Sunday, October 30 2022. From our catch-up with The Beautiful Monument at Knight & Day Festival last year to our proud moment celebrating Bloom‘s massive Sink Into the Soil tour, we’re simply pumped for all these bands.

On CVLTFEST, Alpha Wolf comments:

“This has been an idea brewing for quite some time now, we were just waiting for the right time to execute it. The idea behind it being a way to celebrate the heavy scene in Australia, while also bringing a few special international bands into the mix, and a collective way to experience an Alpha Wolf festival the way we would want to experience one.”

The festival will be held at Melbourne Pavilion and will be an 18+ event and will have Alpha Wolf playing a couple new tunes like ‘Hotel Underground‘ off forthcoming split-EP with Holding Absence called The Lost and The Longing – out in just a few weeks. Grab your tickets, this Halloween is going to be heavy!
