Metalcore Snitches Tour: Alpha Wolf, Fit For A King, Great American Ghost + Paledusk

Alpha Wolf Metalcore Snitches tour

Alpha Wolf have been teasing the Metalcore Snitches Tour all long weekend, and have drip-fed the lineup over a course of days. With heavy speculation, the Melburnians have finally shared who they’re be bringing on tour with them across Australia via Destroy All Lines.

On the back of their Aussie Tour (for A Quiet Place To Die) as well as a bunch of U.S. touring, Alpha Wolf will do another lap of Australia with Fit For A King, Great American Ghost and Paledusk for the Metalcore Snitches Tour. This is absolutely huge news from a) the sheer point of view of international touring returning down under, and b) the magnitude of the tour itself.

Fit For A King need no introduction. On the back of their monster record The Path (our review here) in 2021 as well as Dark Skies in 2018, the Texan band are catching up on lost time from a touring point of view, and have even been touring the U.S. on the Dark Path Tour, acknowledging COVID’s impact on multiple touring cycles. On our books, it seems like the last time Fit For A King visited Australia was way back in 2014 for Buried in Verona‘s Faceless Tour, along with Feed Her To The Sharks and Ocean Grove. When we chatted to frontman Ryan Kirby in 2020 (full interview here), he alluded to a cancelled Aussie tour that was meant to happen years ago with Alpha Wolf – glad to see they’re making up for lost time.

“So I guess I can be honest about it because it’s not happening now, We were working on coming over to play with Alpha Wolf. It was originally [scheduled] for May (I think), and then it got pushed back to October. Eventually, as things got worse with Coronavirus, the agents were like ‘we just gotta pull it’.”

Next on the Metalcore Snitches lineup, is Great American Ghost. Having released their Torture World EP a couple of months ago, the Human Warfare band are fresh with new material and ready to make their debut on Aussie shores. Not only is it exciting to snag a set from the Boston hardcore-come-metalcore piece, but it’s telling as to who might be joining Fit For An Autopsy and Thy Art Is Murder on a yet-to-be-announced Australian tour (which we got wind of with Human Warfare/Thy Art Is Murder legend Andy Marsh, who we had a chin-wag with at Full Tilt Melbourne) – check it out here.

Finally, it makes total sense for Alpha Wolf to be bringing along Greyscale Records label mates Paledusk hailing all the way from Fukuoka on the Japanese island of Kyushu. The Japanese metalcore misfits dropped wild single single ‘SLAY!!‘ featuring HIDEYOSHI very recently, as well as ‘Black Ice‘ from last year. A couple of days ago, they also revealed that we’ll be hearing brand new single ‘BBB’ feat. Such this week, adding to their setlist collateral.

Got all that? Now you’ve got some playlist curating and homework listening to do ahead of Alpha Wolf‘s Metalcore Snitches Australian Tour.
