Is anyone else reclaiming their love for pop punk and Real Friends since witnessing them live last month with Mayday Parade? New frontman Cody Muraro is an absolute talent and has continued the magnitude of the band’s success since original vocalist Dan Lambton departed.
They’re continuing their new chapter with the cynically upbeat ‘Always Lose‘. Opening up the chorus with a punchy hook and ice-cold lyrics like “Feels like I always lose, When I open up, I end up without you…“, the Chicago pop punkers will no doubt continue to see their fanbase increase in size with this banger. If you couldn’t get enough of ‘Tell Me You’re Sorry‘, expect this one to be high on repeat too.
New Real Friends and Neck Deep in the same week? I’m not mad at all. Pop punk’s definitely not dead.
