Seaway Drop New Single 'Still Blue'

The pop punk genre is on fire right now, with Machine Gun Kelly's latest crossover album Tickets to My Downfall currently sitting on top of the charts. While it's great to see pop punk receiving mainstream success again, the genre has always had its little golden nuggets since way before. Need I remind you about Stand Atlantic's latest efforts, Pink Elephant or Knuckle Puck's new album 20/20?

But let's drop in on Canadian pop punk act Seaway. They made their return last month with their new single 'Big Vibe'. However, the band have been around since the mid-2000's, alongside the likes of Neck Deep and State Champs, sharing their nostalgic 90's riffs amongst the community. Any OG fan will remember their single 'Big Mistake' from their 2015 breakthrough album, Colour Blind. So many feels.

Seaway are set to release their much anticipated new album, Big Vibe next Friday and have dropped another killer single. 'Still Blue' sings about good feelings and good times (oh, where art thou music festivals, I miss you), featuring a ridiculously catchy pop hook over the chorus. Just as infectious as 'Big Mistake' was back in the day, it'll be hard to get this tune out of your head. Vocalist Ryan Locke shares:

“'Still Blue' has been a favourite of mine from the record since we started it. It evolved a lot in the studio but each time got better and better. It’s about investing yourself into something so heavily and not always seeing that energy returned or reciprocated. That feeling can obviously come in many forms.

Seaway's new album, Big Vibe is out October 16th through Pure Noise Records. Pre-order here
