Ice Nine Kills Rip Out Scream Inspired New Song ‘Your Number’s Up’

Ahead of the release of The Silver Scream (FINAL CUT) next week Ice Nine Kills have FINALLY debuted their new song ‘Your Number’s Up‘ which continues the theme of songs inspired by horror/thriller movies, something their new album absolutely nailed (our review here).

Being a Scream fan (that movie is in my Top 3 of All Time) I was keen to hear their take on the franchise and from all accounts they’ve focused on the first movie, which featured Drew Barrymore infamously being killed off within the first 15 minutes of the film, a daring feat that became a staple for all of Wes Craven‘s follow-ups in the series.

The song itself is great and pays homage perfectly to the series, so much so, I’m giving it two big thumbs up. In next week’s Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall podcast, I’ve got frontman Spencer Charnas joining me to chat all things horror, their new song and what Wes Craven meant to him (RIP) + what fans can expect for their debut trip down under playing Good Things Festival (full lineup here).

You do NOT want to miss it.
