Now that KNOTFEST has come and gone, it's time to reflect on that time that was with our smorgasbord of killer content from the third outing which saw the return of Slipknot to the headline position, A Day To Remember right beneath them and a concoction of heavy//alternative scene greats scattered throughout the day.

The festival also saw Polaris rise to the ranks of Australian headliner etching closer to the top of the festival hierarchy in a spot they well and truly filled. Vended absolutely denied any nepotism criticisms by showing Australian fans they were more than capable of holding their own on stage. Metalcore kings Miss May I stepped foot in their first Australian music festival since the mecca, Soundwave 2013 and so many stories from maggots, music fans and patrons have all made their way into our feature article showcasing what the Wall Of Sound team got up to - and what you were loving most on ground.

Shout out to our man behind the lends Mitch Chamberlain of Chamberlain Media for bringing the vision to life.

Wall Of Sound's - KNOTFEST Australia '25 AfterFilm

All the action on ground and in the crowd at the Brisbane leg of the East Coast run - featuring maggots, music festival fanatics and an exclusive interview with Corey Taylor in the first 9 seconds...

Vended - A Validated Down Under Debut

Since their debut release in 2021, the lads in Vended have very quickly garnered a worldwide following on the back of years of high-profile touring that culminated with their first full length self titled album.

Trying to forge your own identity as a musician is hard enough, but when your parents are members of one of the most famous metal bands on the planet, it’s a hard slog to emerge from the shadow cast over you. But that’s what Vended have been doing since their inception and for the first time ever they’ve made their way down under for the Aussie leg of Knotfest 2025.

Wall of Sound’s resident bogan Duane James sat down with JJ Pugh and Cole Espeland after their blistering opening set in Brisbane to talk about making their mark, their first ever Aussie adventure, and Black Sabbath.

Miss May I - Aussie Festival Throwback with New Music Inbound

Levi Benton from Miss May I joined Browny for a catch up like no other. The pair discuss the band's inclusion on the infamous Soundwave Festival 2013 and how Levi's biggest supporter (his Mom) was hellbent on joining her son in Australia for that monumental event.

We also reflected on changes in the music industry since the MySpace era and Levi let slip details about the influx of new music and NEW ALBUM Miss May I have been working on and are all but ready to unleash upon the world verrrry soon.

Duane's World: What Not at KNOTFEST '25

Duane hit the ground running catching up with maggots, punters and heavy music fans alike around the grounds of Brisbane - which band won over the most fans and how many Slipknot tattoos did the team at Dr Pickles do?

Polaris - Festival Kings at KNOTFEST

Jake Steinhauser and Rick Schneider from Polaris stopped by HQ at to chat all about the band's triumphant rising up the ranks of the Australian festival slots and the new challenges that brings.

The boys reflect on missing out on playing Splendour In The Grass and share their pipeline goals of curating their own music festival - much like Alpha Wolf do with CVLTFEST - could we see PolarisFest coming to fruition in a few years?

The band also shared insights on touring regionally and the impact that has on their careers and the fans in remote areas.

Jeremy McKinnon - A Day To Remember at KNOTFEST

No, you're not seeing double, that's Jeremy McKinnon from ADTR and Browny sharing very similar facial features and chatting all about the band's second headliner status at KNOTFEST Australia.

The topic of conversation also touched on the band changing the way the music industry works by releasing new album Big Ole Album Vol. 1 physically a month before streaming and how criticisms about their shift in sound - from heavy to poppier elements - could be their fault!

Jeremy also sheds insights into his Dad Life and talks about bringing his two girls on tour and whether they think he's a lame rockstar yet...

Luke Severeid - [Patreon Exclusive Podcast]

Heavy Metal and comedy go hand in hand - look at Steel Panther as a perfect example - and when Luke Severed joined the KNOTFEST 2025 lineup, we had to grab the man in question and set him up against our resident metal bogan Duane for a rib-tickling chat about all things metal - including the sub-genres which are easier to heckle - and so much more!
