ONLY ONE VOTE: Let's Get SPEED in Contention for the ARIAS 'Best Video' Category

Alright heavy music community, we're heading into uncharted territory and have a real chance to make a splash at this year's ARIAs by helping one of our own score a shiny doorstopper in a public vote...

Western Sydney kings SPEED have managed to infiltrate the 2024 ARIAs, scoring three nominations across multiple categories including Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album, Best Group and Best Video - an astonishing feat that should be celebrated across the country.

To get everyone up to speed; this year's first-round nomination process for industry/ARIA Academy members found us being able to vote for heavy/alternative acts across all categories - meaning for the first time in our voting history, we were able to nominate HEAVY acts in categories like Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Cover Art, Best Group and so on... It was surreal seeing bands we've covered and loved for years up for contention alongside notable greats from the mainstream world, however, due to the sheer number of mainstream music industry peers, many of these acts didn't make the final cut for second-round nominations...

SPEED, however, have made it and landed in a Public Vote for Best Video for 'REAL LIFE LOVE' - taken from their debut album ONLY ONE MODE. What makes this special is YOU get to vote for the winner and by banding together, we may be able to shake things up and have a hardcore band take out the award for the first time ever - further proving to the naysayers that the heavy music community is thriving and always turns the fuck up for one of our own.

So what do you have to do in order to be able to cast your vote?

Well, between now and 11:59am on November 13th, you can vote once per day for the Best Video and in doing so, increase SPEED's chances of actually taking out the category - potentially being the first HEAAAAVY band to accept an award on live tv - imagine the chaos!

NOTE: The Best Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Album category finds C.O.F.F.I.N., Dune Rats, SPEED, Teenage Joans and Polaris all up for contention - however, this award comes down to industry voting - so let's hope the normies vote honestly, instead of giving theirs to the band with the funniest sounding name...
