Aussie Hardcore Veterans Iron Mind Drop Crushing New Single + Announce First Tour in Over 10 Years!
Australia’s hardcore heavyweights Iron Mind have come thrashing back from the shadows after more than a decade away from the stage, and they’re not here to quietly pick up where they left off — they’re here to absolutely fucking shred. Revered for their unrelenting presence in the hardcore scene during the 2010s, Iron Mind have always been a band that kicked butt and took names after. Now, after years of sitting in hibernation, they’ve announced their comeback with a vengeance, unveiling a massive national tour and plenty of new music to boot.
Following on from the release of initial drop 'Solitary Realm', the boys are back in town with latest offering ‘Test Of The Iron Mind’, the chuggy AF title-track from the band's forthcoming record set for release on June 13th via Last Ride Records. True to its name, the song is a ferocious nod to their roots and is absolutely crushing with plenty of gang vox and potential mic grab spots. Expect nothing but chaos when the album drops - especially with the current rise in popularity of hardcore across the country and on a global scale.
On the comeback vocalist Sam Octigan shares:
“The eponymous track of the record sums up who and what Iron Mind is. ‘Test Of The Iron Mind’ became the record title early on in the process, as a nod to our history but looking at the topic with contemporary eyes. The song and title goes back to our 2008 track ‘The Iron Mind', that has become a live show staple for us. The ‘test’ in ‘Test Of The Iron Mind’ is us looking back on those original lyrics from 2008 and reflecting that the challenges don’t get easier, but with experience we can develop better tools.”

The tour kicks off on the same day the album drops and will hit venues all over the country including both 18+ and All Ages shows along the way with very special guests The Chain and Horsepower in support - two uncompromising acts from Australia's underground just waiting to be heard.
