Fit For A King Bust Out Pearler Single 'Technium' feat. The Plot In You's Landon Tewers

Crowned metalcore quintet Fit For A King have just dropped a nuclear bomb on the heavy community in the midst of an extensive touring schedule. On today's New Music Friday the Texan group have dropped new track 'Technium' featuring Landon Tewers, frontman of The Plot In You (and melodic soloist). 

The single is Fit For A King's second release of the year - on the back of ripper tune 'Keeping Secrets' from back in January, which saw the band fuse their heavier and melodic catalogue into one. The Dallas boys have made their mark on the metalcore scene over the past decade and beyond with remarkable records like The Hell We Create, The Path and Dark Skies - just to name a few. 

Australia were lucky enough to get a taste of the band's stellar live performance back in 2022 as part of Alpha Wolf's Metalcore Snitches tour, where they even snuck in a Melbourne headliner. It's certainly been a hot minute since we caught a glimpse of Ryan "Tuck" O'Leary spinning his axe. Check out our chat with vocalist Ryan Kirby from the last time FFAK were in town - right below on Wall of Sound TV.

Anyway - onto the new track. 'Technium'.

So it's become clear that Fit For A King are seeing fans' reactions to the heavier tracks, and like 'Keeping Secrets' they're leaning into the destruction. Sliding deeper into their borderline deathcore potential, the Texans dial the production up to 110% with Kirby showcasing his ever-polished screams. Tewers comes in and adds an alternate heavy energy vocally, but personally I think with Kirby's vocal capabilities, he could have handled this one himself.

On the song, Kirby shares:

"'TECHNIUM' is about how we have let technology become such an intricate part of our lives because of all its convenience and benefits, but now all the negatives are starting to emerge, like depression, anxiety, misinformation, etc, and we are at a point where there really isn't any going back"
