Whitechapel Step Foot Into 2025 With ‘Hymns in Dissonance’, Title Track For New Record

Starving for the next course from Whitechapel? The MySpace era deathcore band are back after evolving into unchartered and evolutionary territory over the past decade with modern deathcore releases. Whilst the more recent diverse discography from the Tennessee group is part of what holds them at the calibre they’re nowadays known for, the OG fans are the scaffolding for today’s streams of records like The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile.

It’s been Whitechapel‘s worst kept secret that the follow-up to to 2021’s Kin would go darker and heavier, and closer to their roots; frontman Phil Bozeman even alluded to heavier new music back to when spoke with him back in 2023 on the Decade of Hate tour – check out our Patreon for that interview. Back in September last year, the U.S. group swung out of the gate with ‘A Visceral Retch‘ where Bozeman did just that on the mic. Everything was tuned the fuck down instrumentally, and Whitechapel brought their juvenile talents back into the works; fans were all about it.

As we enter 2025, the deathcore giants have dropped a second release in their new era, titled ‘Hymns in Dissonance‘, which they’ve been playing alive across the U.S. With blistering gutturals cutting in immediately, Bozeman’s potential is fully unleashed, like their 2024 single. With cutting-edge production and mixing on a 2000s style, fans will be dazzled. Drummer Brandon Zackey‘s blastbeats are impeccable and the band’s orchestrated breakdowns are delectable.

There’s so much to catch in sonically in this track, and so much excitement with a new album set to drop on March 7th via Metal Blade Records – Pre-orders open soon. Get keen!
