Veil of Maya Return With Tech-Heavy Single 'Outrun'

Veil of Maya have been on the singles train lately, having dropped a few last year as well as 'Viscera' earlier this year. Fans have been anticipating an EP/LP to encompass the new material, but they seem to be comfortable with the isolated singles approach. The progressive metalcore band have done it again with their latest effort 'Outrun' with Sumerian Records.

The track has all those progressive technical elements we love, plus a really great clean-vocal prog effort. 'Outrun' breaks down into chaos rather quickly though mid-way, however it returns to a pretty steady flow which showcases more of the technical elements to the band. They get riffing with a bit of a Breakdown of Sanity vibe towards the end and one final blistering breakdown to break your neck to. The video encapsulates their live show, which is so refreshing to see during tough times where touring is only restarting now.
