Trivium's Matt Heafy performs Johnny Cash-esque version of blink-182's 'Dammit'

A long long time ago, well before he originally joined Trivium as their lead guitarist at the age of 12, Matt Heafy actually auditioned to be part of an upcoming pop-punk band and the song of choice at his performance was blink-182's 'Dammit' (from their now 20 year old album Dude Ranch). Unfortunately, despite his talents, he was rejected and went on to do nothing with his life front one of the most popular metal bands of the next generation following his discovery of Metallica's Black Album.

Matt shared the story on his YouTube channel along with a rendition of the song he once auditioned with, however with his own personal touch combining Johnny Cash with In Flames and surprisingly, it's actually pretty fuckin' good. This is how I'd imagine Blink would play at shows while in their late 70's as they struggle to control their bowel movements and inappropriate nurse grabbing.
