There's a movie coming out called Every Time I Die and ETID fans aren't happy

It's no secret that us here at Wall of Sound adore the Every Time I Die lads. Recently we caught up with guitarist Andy Williams and bassist Stephen Micciche at UNIFY Gathering 2019 and the guys are just some of the best, most lovable legends in the heavy music scene. One thing we didn't get to talk about was this upcoming thriller movie also called Every Time I Die which is premiering at Cinequest California on March 8th.

If you're wondering what it's about, the synopsis reads:

The film follows the classic tale of ghost possession, flipping the script by telling the story from the perspective of the possessing spirit trying to stop his killer from striking again... Drew Fonteiro ("Good Trouble") headlines the cast as a disturbed young man with a mysterious past whose tragic death is just the beginning of his troubles. Instead of the hereafter, he finds himself trying to protect his friends from inside their bodies."

Think of movies like The Skeleton Key and Get Out! and you may not be too far removed from what this one will be all about it seems, but ETID fans (or ETIDiots as we liked to be called) aren't happy that the movie has used their beloved fav band's name and not included them in any way i.e. guest cameos or on the soundtrack etc

every time i die movie

It may only be a small thing, but we always have (and will) associate the title with the band. Let's hope some newcomers discover the Buffalo band because of the mixups that'll ensure when they eventually google what this film is all about.

During our recent interview with the guys, they revealed frontman Keith Buckley will be focused on The Damned Things duties and the rest of the band will be writing new material periodically during that time. Their last masterpiece Low Teens was released in 2016 (our review here) so don't expect any new material from the band until maybe late 2019 or 2020...
