PREMIERE: Wishful Thinking Wear Their Hearts on their Sleeves on 'Beautiful Nights'

This ain’t the usual sound we hear from Melbourne pop punk act Wishful Thinking, but nevertheless, when you hear it for the first time, it’ll warm you up on the inside. The lads have simmered down ever so slightly, for an energizing power rock ballad about wanting to be with your significant other.
Lead singer Carl W. Jackson shared with us the song’s inception:
“There’s something timeless about a good love song, and ‘Beautiful Nights’ is a classic love song. This song is based on a true story more or less. When living in Melbourne my Nth QLD born and bred partner would constantly talk about how cold it was. Then one time she travelled to QLD for two weeks leaving me behind in Melbourne, and I swear the weather was perfect the whole time! I wrote this song for the exact reason mentioned in the song, ‘I’m writing this down so when you’re back round you will know.“
It’s a pretty darn cute track, made even more wholesome with the beautiful blend of strings and lyrics that help you visualise moonlit nights and perfect cityscapes in your mind that you could only imagine with that special someone. ‘Beautiful Nights‘ is made with a similar spirit that pop punk heavyweights Yellowcard used on their hit classic ‘Only One‘.
So if you need to find a way to tell that one in your life how you feel, go sneak ‘Beautiful Nights‘ on their playlist — they’ll probably love you even more for it!
