IT'S HERE! Simple Plan Return with Soaring Emo Anthem 'The Antidote'

We've been waiting quite a damn long time for this (the entire pandemic ha!), but new music from Simple Plan is finally here! Everyone's favourite Canadian pop punk band are back and on fire with a brand new single! Heavily known throughout the past twenty years for offering us catchy, uplifting pop punk jams that resonate with their massive legion of fans, the band have revealed 'The Antidote' and I already cannot keep this banger outta my ears.

This song is for those days when you just can't anymore. As always, the band are always pulling inspiration from the stories their fans confess at tour meet'n'greets and this track is no exception. 'The Antidote' is a soaring emo belter which, by the time the chorus hits, will absolutely get you to turn this up when you're feeling at your lowest. But, never fear. Simple Plan's music is here and will get you through absolutely anything. Even when it hurts the most... these boys are your antidote for getting through shitty jobs, relationships, and life in general.

It's definitely a little more on the poppier side compared to the band's last single 'Where I Belong' and reminds me a little of their self-titled album from 2008. However, if you're a huge Simple Plan fan like I am, you'll send 'The Antidote' straight to the top of your Spotify 'On Repeat' playlist regardless. Turn it up and expect the OG pop punkers to return to top form with album #6 in 2022!
