Grenade Jumper Kickstart New Era with John Floreani on 'Did You Imagine'
It's been a few long years since Sydney pop punks Grenade Jumper have graced our pages with any music. Back in 2019, they dropped a simmering summer punk jam 'Heat Wave' and then two-track EP What’s Left When It All Falls Down in 2020, but since then it's been eerily quiet.
Fast forward to January 2022 and the band returned to our peripherals by landing a slot on this year's edition of Unify Forever. Not bad for an act who haven't had a musical release in two years! For those that witnessed their return to the stage, the four-piece have gone through a musical rebrand, kicking it up a notch into alternative/pop territory.
Now the time has inevitably arrived for Grenade Jumper to make the world their oyster. The band's brand new single 'Did You Imagine' featuring Trophy Eyes' John Floreani is upon us and they've thrown at us glistening tones of feelgood pop/rock. It's an introspective look about growing up in your youth and being mildly content with how things have turned out. Which I'm sure vocalist Bianca Davino has done her fair share of looking inwards over the past few years.
'Did You Imagine' is a refreshing, slick new single for these Sydney upstarts and we're looking forward to hear what else they've got up their sleeves. Stoked to have ya back, Grenade Jumper!
