For The Fallen Dreams Go No Holds Barred with 'Sulfate'

All melodic hardcore fans, rejoice! For The Fallen Dreams recently made a return after eight long years since album Six. With vocalist Chad Ruhlig dabbling in side-project LGND on tracks like ‘Pagan Prayer‘, FTFD was on the Back Burner for a while (see what I did there). However, 2022 has delivered the return of this magnificent five-piece from Michigan as they shared new single 'What If' and signed to Arising Empire Records.

The new track surprised fans with strong nu-metal influences intersecting with their signature melodic hardcore groove. A second release has now boiled to the surface - it's called 'Sulfate' and it sits a bit closer to what you might expect from a classic FTFD sound. The band rapidly kicks into their signature hardcore groove and balances the carnage with another one of Ruhlig's awesome clean choruses before he interchanges back to uncleans. The fire really picks up as the outfit builds a disgusting amount of tension before shooting out a rapid-fire breakdown and driving 'Sulfate' home.

On the new single, Ruhlig comments:

"It's been a welcomed and refreshing challenge to find ways to incorporate new elements into our music after 15 years. 'Sulfate' explores a more mature side of heaviness from For the Fallen Dreams, while still keeping our core elements intact. We look forward to continuing to paint the picture of what to expect from our new album."
