Breakdown of Sanity Present Standalone Swiss Metalcore Melody 'Black Smoke'

Last year Swiss metalcore legends Breakdown of Sanity teased their return, and they released standalone single 'Traces'. In their announcement on socials in September 2020, the band made it clear that it wasn't a triumphant comeback with the full blast of new albums, touring, and all the bells and whistles that fans were dreaming of, but it did provide transparency to fans that they miss jamming, and will continue to release the odd track every now and then.

Before we fast-forward to today, let's play some catch-up. If you haven't discovered this band before, you need to stop everything you're doing and get through their back catalogue from Bern, in particular the band's 2013's blistering record Perception and the band's final album before disbanding Coexistence from 2016 (not at all discounting superb LPs Mirrors and The Last Sunset either). The metalcore Europeans are no strangers to the odd cover either, and their version of Kanye West's 'Stronger' (as listed in our top 20 heavy covers of non-heavy songs) will leave you gasping for air.

Well, it's been just over a year since 'Traces' and now the metalcore Gods have laid down another almighty song for us to obsess about for the next year (or however long until we feast our eyes and ears on their next one). Breakdown of Sanity's latest effort is titled 'Black Smoke'.

On the new single, the band have said on Facebook:

"...It's been a while, we know! All the more we are happy to share with you our new single "Black Smoke". Have fun pre-listening it on YouTube - tomorrow the single will be available on all major streaming platforms.
