Belle Haven are back, baby! Check out their catchy AF new single 'Forget Me'
One of our favourite discoveries from Big Sound 2017 was Belle Haven and their melodic-metalcore sound, purpose and personalities! Frontman David De La Hoz is arguably one of the hardest working frontmen in Australia's heavy music scene (also working in Wither) and since the band took a break following their album cycle for You, Me And Everything In Between, they've bounced back keen and eager to go and have a fucking great new song to showcase for everyone.
Before we get to that, guitarist Christopher Vernon discussed the band's breather from each other revealing:
"We’re still working on ourselves as people, on our writing ability, and our musicianship; but more importantly we’re constantly working on our friendship, our communication skills, and on our live performance, so as a whole, we are the best version of ourselves and Belle Haven that we can be. Nothing will ever be perfect, but you can only hope your current version of anything is the best it can be"
We're glad they're addressing their internal issues because since signing to Greyscale Records, they've done some pretty big things and now have a brilliantly catchy new song to showcase called 'Forget Me' which the band say is about:
"Self-sabotage. It can be one thing to be able to acknowledge that you’re a self-saboteur, but a whole other thing to try to change that.
Just listen to it and you can hear the progression this band has had since that debut album of theirs. I for one and excited again for the future of Belle Haven and you should be too. Jump on board now!
