We've been following Poppy's career since she first burst through the doors of the heavy music scene with 'X', shortly before following it up with 'Scary Mask' alongside the OG Fever 333 lineup; and since then, she's more than made a name for herself - popping up on festivals such as Good Things Festival in Australia... all the way to becoming the FIRST ever solo female artist to be nominated for the Best Metal Performance Grammy for 'Bloodmoney', following the release of her album I Disagree in 2020.

Caught up? Good! Earlier in the year she dropped 'Church Outfit' which now serves as the opening track for upcoming album ZIG - set for release on October 27th via Sumerian Records, and today the next song in the tracklisting is unveiled as the super bassy 'Knockoff'; an electronic-driven moody love song about wanting that real shit, not that knock off shit. It's a bit of a departure once again from the heavier undertones that first put Pops on our radar, but still falls under the category of 'mainstream won't play this', so we will.

Poppy cites finding inspiration from the likes of Talking Heads, Blondie, Gary Numan, and Bowie on the upcoming release, which also has her playing both the guitar and bass - which will be an interesting approach to her live shows, where she's known for throwing herself about the stage caught in the moment of her songs.

The next chapter is here, are you ready to go all in, again?
