Mötley Crüe Confirm Australian Tour Rumours With Def Leppard

Motley Crue Def Leppard Australian Tour

At the end of last year, we reported that Nikki Sixx of the one and only Mötley Crüe confirmed an Australian tour, however since then we haven’t heard much news…. until now.

The hair-metalers have confirmed their tour with Def Leppard and the next chapter of both bands’ World Tour, which in other corners of the world has also included the likes of Joan Jett, Poison and Alice Cooper. The tour marks the first visit from Mötley Crüe since their final tour (awkward) in May, 2015. Def Leppard have been here more recently – we checked them out in November, 2018 where they played the 1987 album Hysteria in full and brought Scorpions along for the ride (review here). This time we can expect the sugar-surplus to play fresh tunes off their latest record Diamond Star Halos.

The two bands will play three shows across the East Coast this November, and there’s a whole bunch of different tickets and areas so you’ll want to study the Live Nation site carefully.

We’ve been lucky enough to see John 5 down in Australia before but never with Mötley Crüe, as we suspect he’ll be coming down on guitar duties as the Mick Mars drama continues, having officially left the band. It’s an immense announcement and going to make for one hell of a rock tour across Australia – we’re sure we’re not alone when we say we’re ready to see Tommy Lee‘s moving drum kit, that’s for sure (but hopefully not his junk).
