“The vision for this is the biggest undertaking in Parkway’s history. A traveling festival run by the band, for the fans. It’s a massive deal for us, so we wanted to make it special. Not only is the line up stacked, for the first time on home soil, we’ll be bringing the iconic and unstoppable - The Amity Affliction. Parkway, Amity, Australia. It’s never been bigger. This is the full festival experience, a day to enjoy, connect and get wild. We can’t wait to see you there.” Winston McCall, Parkway Drive
Our Predictions
As history goes, the best way to launch a festival is with a jacked Australian lineup to showcase the talent we have in our own backyard. I anticipate Park Waves Fest to follow this ideology and with that in mind, this is what's going down in my head...
Polaris - The boys go hand in hand with their Parkway brethren and have sweet FA Aussie shows lined up currently.
The Amity Affliction - The one big Aussie act that was missing from Hellbound Cruise. Currently touring with Parkway in America, could they be on the first Park Waves Fest too?
Hatebreed - Covid stole that Parkway x Hatebreed x ETID tour from us. We know Hatebreed are planning to bring the Summer Slaughter Tour to Australia in 2026 - but what if they hopped on this instead?
SPEED - Winston McCall has been very vocal about his appreciation of the Sydney hardcore kings and they could bring the ferocity and stage dives to this lineup!
Redhook - Winno has also been vocal about supporting the rise of Redhook and with a bit of female flavour on the lineup, they'd be an exceptional addition.
I Killed The Prom Queen - for that old school mid-2000s Aussie core scene vibes!
50 Lions - Speaking of, how good would it be to see Oscar McCall and co. sharing the stage with big bro! They just dropped a new song not long ago so it's safe to say they're getting active again.
In Hearts Wake - Fellow Byron Bay boys haven't played a show together down under in YONKS!
Alpha Wolf - The lads appeared on the first Park Waves lineup in Germany and are touring with the band in the states right now. They highly likely to appear.
Thornhill - Also noticeably absent from the Hellbound lineup (along with Alpha Wolf), so maybe they're saving themselves for this instead!?
Terminal Sleep - Upcoming heavy hardcore hitters taking the world by storm. Would love to see them on this run!
That's all for now, check back in for any/all info you need to know if the lead up to the first ever Park Waves Festival down under!
