A couple of months ago Attila returned with new tune 'Handshakes With Snakes' which took us back to the About That Life / Guilty Pleasure era, suggesting a promising campaign ahead. The single was the band's first release since 2021 album Closure with renowned tracks ‘Metalcore Mansion‘ and ‘Day Drinking‘.
Chris 'Fronz' Fronzak and his two cronies have shared a second single now called ‘Bite Your Tongue’, however we've still had no word on whether the band has expanded after some lineup changes. Either way, the direction of the new track will pique your interest as it's completely different to the last one.
‘Bite Your Tongue’ could be Attila's most melodic and emotive track to date, across their back catalogue. Whilst it sets in with all the familiar instrumental pieces, the entrance and occupancy of clean vocals is a fresh take for the band, particularly in this prolonged manner. Although Fronz digs into his unclean style intermittently, this song is really about his impressive singing abilities. With half an expectation that this track will build and eventually settle into a crushing breakdown, it rather sits with the experimental discomfort of a new direction; but hey, there is a little heavy section there towards the end.
