Veil of Maya Share Ripper New Single 'Godhead' & Tease New Record

A Veil of Maya album is on the way in 2023, as announced by the band on their socials today. The prog-metalcore group have dropped a bunch of singles over the past couple of years like ‘Outrun‘, ‘Viscera‘. ‘Outsider‘ and more recently ‘Synthwave Vegan‘. However, we haven't seen an LP from these guys since 2017's False Idol.

Today, the Chicago boys have dropped a new one called 'Godhead' and like ‘Synthwave Vegan‘ it's different to what you'd expect. Sure, it's got your typical technical metalcore elements (which slap by the way), but they've also got seriously high-pitched uncleans and step into highly experimental territory, not to mention droney breakdowns that pack one hell of a punch.

On the new single, guitarist Marc Okubo comments:

"We're so excited to introduce the next phase of Veil of Maya with the release of "Godhead". We know our fans have been waiting patiently for a long time for us to release a new album and we appreciate you all so much. All I will say about that is that good things come to those who wait. 2023 is going to be a BIG year for Veil of Maya. This is just the beginning."
