Veil of Maya Delivers Fresh Decibels On ‘Synthwave Vegan’

Veil of Maya Synthwave Vegan review

Prog-metalcore superheroes Veil of Maya have been teasing us immensely over the last couple of years. It’s been about five years since the Chicago-bred four-piece released an LP (False Idol) and fans are beyond ready for a new one.

However, whilst they’ve been quiet on the album front, last year they dropped a couple of singles to keep loyal fans frothing at the mouth, namely ‘Outrun‘ and ‘Viscera‘. They also dropped a track in 2020 called ‘Outsider‘, so it’s fair to say the band have not fully disappeared.

Today, Veil of Maya have premiered brand new single ‘Synthwave Vegan‘, check it out below. It’s menacingly heavy – it’s prog-metalcore driven as always, dripping with elements of their back catalogue simmered all the way through but with a new edge. The single is fast, chaotic and packed with energy that brings in influences across the scene, including Parkway Drive and Emmure – just to name a few.
