Brand of Sacrifice Close Out 2022 with Ripper Single ‘Exodus’

Brand of Sacrifice 2022

Just when you think the best of 2022 is behind us, Brand of Sacrifice come in and drop a bomb on us all. The new-age deathcore band have penetrated the heavy scene over the past couple of years, most recently with 2021 record Lifeblood which we learned all about from guitarist/producer Leo Valeri (interview here).

Following the Canadian five-piece’s exceptional release, they kept the momentum going with a flood of touring as well as reimagined tracks like ‘Demon King’ with ex-Crystal Lake vocalist Ryo Kinoshita as well as re-imagining We Came As Romans‘ ‘Darkbloom‘. These guys are becoming one of the coolest acts in the heavy scene, and if you’re ready for more original stuff today is your day.

Brand of Sacrifice have been teasing on socials for a while now and today they’ve finally dropped brand new ripper track ‘Exodus‘. The Toronto group have stepped up production and delivered some of their heaviest stuff yet. The band kick in with unforgiving ferocity. The ‘Demon KingKyle Anderson is an absolute monster on unclean vocals. Leaning more into clean vocals, this track fuses the intersect of deathcore and metalcore more than ever before. Instrumentally, the band explore some softer metalcore tones but predominantly lean into their natural deathcore force, including the most prolonged and disgusting breakdown we might’ve ever heard from them.

On the new single, Anderson comments:

“We’re so excited to unveil the next chapter of Brand of Sacrifice! Exodus examines the darkest aspects of what we as humans are capable of, coming from the standpoint of a fearless leader.

From the eyes of his brother and comrade, we witness an ability to survive and push forward when what he loves most is stolen right before his eyes by the one he looked up to and relied on. Trust can be earned, respect can be dished out, and loyalty is demonstrated. Betraying any of those, loses you the three.”
