Thousand Below Continue Domination with ‘Face to Face’

Did anyone else attend Ocean Sleeper’s Australian tour last month not expecting to walk away with a new favourite band? Our fav Melbourne heavy hitters recently wrapped up their best set of live shows to date and to help them achieve this milestone, they brought along San Diego post-hardcore act Thousand Below for the ride.

These US rockers instantly blew everyone’s mind across the country, including our Melbourne show reviewer, and we absolutely cannot wait for the day the band return to our shores. In the meantime, you’ll be stoked regardless as the lads have just unleashed their new single ‘Face to Face‘ to prepare us for their next chapter, which involves a new alliance with Pale Chord Music. Vocalist James DeBerg shares his excitement for Thousand Below’s glistening new chapter:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have signed with Pale Chord and to be putting out music with a great label again. We felt that ‘Face to Face’ was the perfect track to announce our partnership with PC and to begin Chapter 3 of our band’s journey.

We wanted to come out the gate with something high-energy & in your face, as well as something that was a bit different from what we usually do–while keeping the essence of Thousand Below clear and in focus.

It’s been a long time since we began an album cycle and we’re ecstatic to get the ball rolling. Be on the lookout for our 3rd album announcement coming very soon, but until then, we hope you all enjoy our new single ‘Face to Face’.”

The song builds on the insane energy they convey to a live audience, through a fiery blend of punchy metalcore and beats that effortlessly flows and will have you keen for another mosh. It follows on from Thousand Below’s previous release back in May, ‘Venenosa‘ which brought on a bit more of a melodic vibe.

If you’ve been a little unmotivated by music lately (like I have), Thousand Below’s new tune is sure to get you in the right mood and remind you why heavy music is just so damn good.
