Ahead of The Plot in You returning to Australia for their Swan Song trip across the country, we grabbed frontman Landon Tewers to give us a rundown of his 5 Fav Tracks by Aussie acts and, as it turns out, his appreciation is smack bang on what some of us in the scene know and love already.

1. THE AMITY AFFLICTION – ‘DRAG THE LAKE’
We’ve toured with that band so many times. Every time, that’s my favourite song to pop in and listen to. They do it really, really well live. And I just love those guys. They’re the best. That’s probably my favourite.
2. ALPHA WOLF – ‘AKUDAMA’
I think that song is so uniquely heavy. It’s so cool. I actually just saw them last night in Detroit and, yeah, they crushed. They are so sick.
3. THORNHILL – ‘CASANOVA’
I love them. Also, saw them yesterday and they were fucking amazing. Stole the show. They were incredible. I just think what they’re doing is really unique and cool. I like the spin on kind of almost like Deftones, but definitely like its own thing. I think that band could do some really big shit.
4. POLARIS – ‘MASOCHIST’
That band is just great. They’re awesome. Every time I’ve ever seen them live, they just… It’s next level. It’s so good. And that song always sounds awesome live.
5. POLARIS – ‘THE REMEDY’
I’m rounding it off with another Polaris song because The Remedy is also great.
