Royals Aim For A Homerun with New Single ‘Home’

One of our favourite pop punk hopefuls in the UK, Royals return this week with their first new track since their debut EP, A Spark To Ignite. ‘Home‘ reignites that infectious charm we fell hard for on songs like ‘Jaded‘ and their take on The Kid Laroi/Justin Bieber’s ‘Stay.

These boys continue to make a splash in the everchanging pop punk scene, producing bouncy pop punk anthems in similar key to State Champs, Simple Plan and All Time Low. What begins as a mild acoustic jam kicks into a brilliant, catchy hook about missing your significant other. The boys share:

“‘Home’ was written when our guitarist was experiencing an extended period of separation from his partner while she was travelling, with time difference making it difficult to communicate and the expected loneliness that comes with that.

That said, when it came to what we wanted to say, we looked at the positives and have created a reassuring, anthemic, straight-up pop punk banger that we are sure listeners will take comfort in and relate to in some way whether it’s a partner, a child, a family member or a friend. With an infectious chorus, memorable harmonies and a song that takes you from acoustic to key change, we’re extremely excited for this to be heard!”

We love a feelgood loved-up track every once in a while, and this is kinda the best thing we’ve heard since Neck Deep dropped ‘When You Know‘ — turn this up loud when you’re missing your person next time.
