Brisbane’s Bad Neighbour Seize the Day with ‘Lowway’
Brisbane alternative/punk outfit Bad Neighbour are back with their punchy, high-energy antics on latest single ‘Lowway’. Following their angsty mix of indie punk/emo and rapid rise in Brissie’s local scene, these kids are progressing to the next stage of their careers with their riotous track yet.
Kicking it up a notch from their more melodic track ‘Slipping Away’ earlier in the year, ‘Lowway’ ensures the band’s rowdiness and momentum is kept high all the way to that final riff. Vocalist Cooper Riley explains the song’s premise:
“We wrote Lowway after the loss of a close friend, the line ‘you took a left on the highway, from the right hand lane’ refers to doing something rash and brazen. We wanted to write a fast paced, fierce punk song as a reminder to be honest with ourselves. We hope you love it.”
We definitely dig it. ‘Lowway’ proves to be the four-piece’s most promising work since last year’s single ‘When The World Explodes’. If your ears are in tune with the explosive melodies of Sly Withers and Slowly Slowly, look no further than Bad Neighbour to complete your musical palette.
