STOP EVERYTHING: D.R.U.G.S. Return with New Single ‘Destiny’
If you’ve been following the recent D.R.U.G.S. (aka Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows) coverage, you’re probably getting as geared up as us for their next era, and it’s finally arrived. In the lead-up to some fresh music from these guys, we’ve had a drip-feed of the next D.R.U.G.S. lineup, starting with Craig Owens returning to the post-hardcore outfit in 2020 with a demo titled ‘King I Am‘.
We then heard about Jona Weinhofen joining the band (known for his career with I Killed The Prom Queen, Bring Me The Horizon, Bleeding Through), and only a couple of weeks ago Jona revealed the next member is Aaron Patrick (known for his career with Bury Your Dead, DevilDriver and All That Remains).
The complete lineup is yet to be announced (i.e. their drummer) but their latest single/video has dropped and it’s a goooooooooooooooood!
Titled ‘Destiny‘, it has all the signature sounds that made this band a household name, but the production of new D.R.U.G.S. is phenomenal. It pays homage to their self-titled album (released over ten years ago) and the progression of each member throughout their careers. Complete with crunchy riffs, quaint cleans, a catchy chorus, and of course some tasteful breakdowns, it’s going to be an instant win for new and old fans. Craig Owens’ whiny vocals are like a fine wine – getting better with age!
