Meet Hindsight in Their Punk-Fuelled New Single ‘Low Hanging Fruit’

From the first few notes, my first thoughts on Adelaide pop punk outfit Hindsight were “damn! This band are defending pop punk as well as The Wonder Years and Man Overboard did back in the day!” This is a style I haven’t heard on the airwaves in at least five years, but reminds me of the days when The Story So Far and Man Overboard were on the verge of hitting their peak.

While ‘Low Hanging Fruit’ is the sound we weren’t expecting in 2022, we are fully embracing this kind of throwback. Like a breath of fresh air amongst Stand Atlantic, State Champs and Between You and Me, Hindsight sneak through the gaps and have simply nailed that crushing hybrid of hardcore punk and pop sensibility. I particularly love the dual vocal work here and can only imagine how good this song would go down in a live pop punk singalong.

Hindsight’s 20/20 for these boys and I’m excited to hear more from the band as the year goes on. Oh, and here’s a secret… you just met the first band in WoS’ Pop Punk Class of 2022! Check back in later for the full list coming soon…
