Sydney’s JunkHead Are Back With New Track ‘inVAIN’
I love the smell of fresh music on a Friday morning and Aussie core fans would be pleased to know JunkHead have returned from a two year hiatus and are ready to scream their way back into out lives again with their newest offering ‘inVAIN‘, which sounds just like Every Time I Die and that’s better than morning wood!
For the ill-informed – JunkHead consists of vocalist Josh Hill and guitarist/vocalist Scotty Daniels (from Bare Bones – YEAH THE BONES!) teaming up with new recruits – bassist Stu Pearson (Wraith, Setmeonfire) and drummer Adam Kilpatrick (ex-Diamond Construct) and this new heavy era is going to be worth your time today for New Music Friday.
“‘inVAIN’ refines and balances the sharp, angular riffing and off-the-wall technicality of our back catalogue, against dark, moody ambiences and haunting, tortured lyrics” – JunkHead
For this outing the boys reached out to ARIA-award winning producer Chris Blancato (Northlane) for his expertise and you can tell just how much attention to detail he’s put into this one.
On the new single , Josh explained it’s all about:
“re-discovering the world around you after the narcissistic veil of a self-destructive lifestyle finally melts away. Having lived a king-like existence, you’re left with nothing but crushing realisations about your life and choices – one day you wake up and realise you’re just a pawn.”
Hard truths are sometimes needed to get us all back in track again right?
