Meet UNFD’s newest signing, Vatican in Double Single Drop, Become A New God!

US metallers Vatican are the newest band to be joining the UNFD roster and they’re celebrating their newly formed alliance this week with a special two-track release titled Become A New God. If you’re a bit of a fiend for hardcore/industrial metal, then these guys are definitely for you.

Leading track ‘Fractured God’ is hella chaotic, and doesn’t stray too far from hardcore/metal act Knocked Loose. Vatican vocalist Mike Sugars gave us a little insight into the song:

“‘Fractured God’ is about questioning who you are, and what makes up your individuality. Are we truly individuals, or are we products of ideals passed on from last generations? Do we have our own ideals or are we just vessels for those we inherited?”

Accompanying song ‘Absolute Reality’ lies towards a more djenty kinda vibe, with Sugars’ vocals taking control of the song even more here. Of this track, the band share:

“We talk about undeniable truths, and how hard they are to find. There’s a constant flow of information and disinformation in the world today, and it flows at an ever-increasing rate. How can we possibly take all of this and use it to create real context in a technological landscape where this information is disseminated out to users who just chew it up and repeat it?”

These guys are heaaavy as fuck — they’re pretty wild, and I can’t help but imagine how much they’d tear the roof off live with these songs. If you need a new song to throw down to, definitely jump onto Vatican!
