Aussie pop punk was kept alive in 2020 with Yours Truly‘s debut album Self Care getting released and saving us from ourselves (our review here). Despite not being able to tour it, the band made the most of their year chatting with fans, discussing the album’s conception and what’s next for them all!

The last gig we played was Good Things in Brissy at the end of 2019!
HOW DID COVID AFFECT YOU/YOUR BAND?
We had been planning to take our debut album on the road and tour as much as we could to promote it but with everything being pushed back we were able to spend more time getting creative on how else we could share it with the world
BIGGEST THING YOU LEARNED ABOUT YOURSELF IN 2020?
The biggest thing I learned was that I have been too hard on myself and as soon as you start taking care of both your physical and mental health everything becomes so much more enjoyable
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2021?
Probably super cliché but I’m definitely looking forward to playing shows again but even more excited about experimenting with the production side of it and creating new experiences for anyone who comes to see us! We’re not holding anything back anymore
