The year 2020 has seen an uprising in the United States, especially surrounding the Black Lives Matter Protests countywide and one band we’ve been waiting to hear from is Fever 333, who, in the past, have been quite vocal about their stance on police brutality and the injustice served towards people of colour.
Now it turns out that not only do they have an official Global Live Stream Concert coming up on October 27th for us in Australia, but they’ve got a brand new EP on the way called Wrong Generation, which is set for release on October 23rd via Roadrunner Records.
On the inspiration behind the upcoming release, the band revealed:
“Following the tragic murder of George Floyd, FEVER 333 vocalist Jason Aalon Butler spent 13 days in the streets as he marched on the frontlines of rebellion in Los Angeles. On the 14th day, he came home and wrote what would become their forthcoming collection, WRONG GENERATION.”
With Jason Aalon Butler personally adding:
“This project is art as activism first. I’m talking about what’s happening and what needs to happen. I hope you understand there’s going to be pain in progress. After dismantling and deconstructing all of these things, we can find a beautiful place to be together. For me, this whole EP is that 13 days after 34 years. You fucked with the WRONG GENERATION.”
The boys will be releasing a new song called ‘Bite Back’ on Monday week (maybe Tuesday our time) and we are eagerly anticipating the arrival of that heavy AF anthem! Until then, get tickets to Fever 333‘s live stream concert and we’ll keep you updated on everything else in between that time!
