Pearl Jam Announce New Album “Gigaton” + Sydney Treasure Hunt
Get ya Dad keen on this one… Pearl Jam are set to celebrate their 30th year as a band with the release their 11th studio album Gigaton on March 27th. The album marks their first release since 2013’s Grammy Award winning release Lightning Bolt.
On the forthcoming release, lead guitarist Mike McCready says:
“Making this record was a long journey… It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”
The band have a bunch of pre-orders out, including a 7″ vinyl of the yet-to-be-released first single ‘Dance of the Clairyoyants‘ which hasn’t shown up on streaming sites as of yet. Keep checking back in on this piece as I’ll update it once I get my grubby little hands on it.
The guys have also launched a special “treasure hunt” on their website for fans in Sydney at this location on Ultimo Road who might get the chance to unlock the song before its release or be able to check out some exclusive content in the process for heading to the secret spot. I’m in Brisbane so I’ll leave that in your capable hands Sydney siders!
