Well now, after watching the latest music video from Waterparks, I had to rewind and watch it over to pay closer attention. Their latest single, ‘Easy To Hate’ sees the guys back to their upbeat and catchy pop/punk ways, which is awesome because their last few singles were a bit…meh. It comes off the band’s recently released album FANDOM (our review here), and the video is… well, let’s just say it kinda takes the piss on band/artist/music fandom in general (very topical boys).
But anyways, the video is essentially about a Waterparks fan who listens to the guys in the car and then later at home (as you do when you’re a huge fan of your favourite band). He seems to listens to their music so much, it’s like they’re playing in-person in front of him 24/7! In the end, the fanboy goes a little stir-crazy from hearing/seeing the band everywhere he goes, he even goes so far as unfollowing them on Twitter to make them disappear. The vid ends on a weird and wacky note, but I won’t spoil it for ya. Watch it for yourself!
